Greg Kahn
Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Even
before establishing Kahn Research Group in 1999, Greg
was a leader in the utilization of technology to develop
and implement faster, better and more affordable methods
of recording and analyzing human behavior in stores
and on the Web. Under his direction, the company
has completed projects for clients and venues including
ICI Paints, Home Depot, Procter and Gamble, Ralph Lauren,
AutoZone, Pepsi-Cola, Subway, the Charlotte Chamber
of Commerce, and Buffets, Inc.
Greg has
served as a guest lecturer on the topic of behavioral
research to numerous undergraduate and MBA marketing
classes. His work is mentioned in Marketing
Management, Millennium Edition, the new book by
marketing expert Phillip Kotler of Northwestern University’s
Kellogg School of Business, and is taught in numerous
marketing classes throughout the world. Greg has
been frequently quoted as a behavioral research authority
in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal,
Supermarket News, The Charlotte Observer,
The Charlotte Business Journal, Convenience Store News,
CSP Magazine, Stores Magazine, The Orange County Register,
The Indianapolis Star, Entrepreneur Magazine, The Arizona
Daily Star, The Bradenton Herald, The Salt Lake Tribune,
and The Free Lance-Star.
Greg received his training in in-store behavioral
research while working at Envirosell, where he planned
and implemented research programs for Hewlett-Packard,
Dr. Pepper/Seven-Up, Blockbuster, Inc., Ann Taylor,
and numerous banks and department stores. Prior to this,
he conducted original research on youth issues and attitudes
for the Department of Agriculture’s Cooperative Extensions
Service.
Greg has been a featured speaker at many conferences,
including the Business-to-Business e-Commerce Conference
hosted by International Communications for Management;
ICM’s Online Branding and Advertising Conference, Firstround.org,
the Institute for International Research’s Customer
Relationships Conference, and the American Chamber of
Commerce Executive’s Management Symposium. In addition,
Greg has written several white papers and op-ed pieces,
including “Retailers’ Panic Made Gloomy Holiday Season
Self-Fulfilling,” “Group Buying and the Internet” and
“The e-Nightmare Before Christmas.”
Greg is
an alumnus of the University of North Carolina at Chapel
Hill where he studied psychology and anthropology.
He conducted original research on power dyads within
the department of psychology, and participated in a
field study of the Kalenjin people of Kenya with the
department of anthropology.

Anne Hazelwood Kahn
Managing Partner
A founding member of the Kahn Research
Group team, Anne has worked on programs for clients
and venues including ICI Specialty Products, Home Depot,
and Procter and Gamble. She manages the company’s
day-to-day operations and assists with its marketing
efforts.
Anne’s
background includes traditional brand management experience
at Procter and Gamble, account work at Foote Cone and
Belding, and new product development for Chesebrough-Ponds.
For the past 20 years, Anne has spearheaded research,
marketing and design programs for such clients as Clairol,
Citibank, Burger King, Taco Bell, Denny’s, Merrill Lynch,
the Toro Company, Masco Corporation, Liquid Nails, Coca-Cola,
General Mills, Harley Davidson, Rollerblade, Godiva
Chocolates, Ralston Purina, military commissaries and
the United States Postal Service.
Anne developed and edited the widely acclaimed
newsletter, Retail Futures, and has spoken before
such groups as the Bank Marketing Association, the Food
Marketing Institute, the American Marketing Association,
POPAI and at several national and regional trade shows.
Her work has been featured in The New York
Times, The Wall Street Journal, QSR Magazine,
POPAI, Newsweek Japan, BrandWeek, CSP
Magazine, and numerous regional publications.
Anne is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania
with a degree in political science.

Benjamin Epstein
Chief Technology Officer
Ben joined Kahn Research Group
in 2001, and is responsible for both technology and design.
His background includes both structural and graphic design
at Wilton Conner packaging and Webmaster duties and graphic
design and implementation for Zimmer Organs.
Ben is a degree candidate at the University
of Charlotte, where he majored in multi-media design and
computer science.
