Available for your use in
days, not weeks
During our videographic research, we install
up to ten cameras to record customer behavior
throughout the research day. Whenever possible,
we use wireless cameras that can be easily hidden,
eliminating both the effect of a customer knowing
he or she is being watched as well as the interruption
to the retail environment caused by having to
change videotapes.
Footage from up to ten cameras is combined
into one video “stream” and digitized for further
computer analysis. We then synchronize this footage
with the data from the handheld computers, examining
specific and complex behaviors in greater detail
by being able to make multiple passes through
the footage and view it in slow motion. Additionally,
we can increase sample sizes in busy store environments
by tracking additional customers strictly from
video.
By using this highly advanced video analysis
technology, we can examine every detail of a customer’s
behavior regardless of its complexity or the speed
at which it takes place. Additionally, we can
immediately provide our clients with video footage
of every specific instance of a documented behavior,
eliminating any confusion or disagreement over
what is actually taking place in the retail environment.
Finally, getting new, more detailed information
on specific behaviors takes only minutes rather
than days or weeks – our “video index” of your
in-store environment allows us to pinpoint the
behaviors in question, add more detailed observations,
and analyze the data in the time it would
take other behavioral research firms to rewind
a videotape
